Father kills his 3 year old child by putting him in a washing machine.

France lives this week shocked by an event that is incredulous to the whole country. A 33 year-old man, Christophe Champenois, last Friday, killed Bastien, his three year-old child, after being put in the washing machine and leaving it on for several minutes, as published by Gallic newspaper ‘Le Parisien’.
The tragedy took place in the family home in the town of Meaux, near Paris.The alleged murderer, tired of the child, opted for this method to punish the boy. It was not the first time, according to sources cited by the newspaper, since, on several occasions, he had already introduced his son to the appliance, though, without  the machine on. However, this time went further and committed the atrocity of turning on the washer with the child inside.
The boy’s mother, Charlene, who was at home, not intervened, as she had not done before when Bastien was punished in this creepy way. But, worried about the course of events, pulled his son from the washer and quickly ran for help.
“The child looked like a rag doll, I heard his heart beating for the last time and then he died,” says a neighbor who came to his aid, while the mother confesses that she had told the neighbor that the little one had fallen down the stairs. Emergency crews could do nothing for the child, who died after suffering irreparable injury in his head.
Both Christophe and Charlene both have been arrested on charges of murder and failure to rescue, respectively. The immediate surroundings of the family already knew earlier problems in the home of Bastien. However, all this time nobody had dared to denounce the police gala.
As reported by the half Gallic, the problems began years ago, particularly since the day that Bastien was born. “It was an unwanted child” - confesses his grandmother. “That day, his father went to drink and when I said I he had a son, he said he did not want him.”
